BERG hönnun og ráðgjöf respects your personal data. This page explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Icelandic Act No. 90/2018 on Data Protection.

What we collect

• Enquiries. There is no contact form on this site. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence only for as long as it takes to answer you.
• Analytics and advertising. If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are viewed (IP addresses anonymised), and the Meta Pixel to measure how our advertising performs. Each is a separate choice.

No analytics or marketing cookies are set before you consent. Your choice is stored in your browser and you can change it at any time:

Cookie settings

• Essential — required for the site to work. No tracking cookies.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*), stored for up to 13 months.
• Marketing — Meta (Facebook) Pixel (_fbp, _fbc), stored for up to 3 months, used to measure advertising.

Legal basis

Replying to people who contact us rests on our legitimate interest in answering them. Analytics rests entirely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Retention

Enquiries are kept for the duration of our correspondence and generally no longer than 24 months. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing. Send a request to rakel@berghonnun.is and we will respond within one month.

If you believe your data is being handled unlawfully you may complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
